Open Space! In More Ways than One!

(excerpted from www.capecog.com published by author, Gary Lopez.)

It won’t be long before half of the stores in the Mall will close, as well as scores of other commercial properties around town.

Barnstable will soon have enough empty buildings to shelter all of the state's homeless.

Klimm, Niedzwieki, and 150 of their goons earn $100K+ salaries and 80% pensions after 20 years of employment to erect gigantic economic barriers

Apparently, Barnstable Town Council President Fred Chirigotis occasionally forgets to "Curb his Dog!" ... and on the Barnstable Town Green, of all places? Then again, he is "King of the Hall". There are "perks" that come with the job!

We're not sure what precisely keeps Barnstable Town Council President Fred Chirigotis from walking his mutt on his own property. The pooper scooper laws, obviously, do not apply to this unsavory, political imposter. No doubt, Chirigotis has a sizable lawn. Fred maintains a green, well manured, and well manicured property.
Fred Chirigotis home is situated at 58 Waterside Drive in Centerville.

Representative Demetrius Atsalis in the All-America City Parade. Open Space!
Excerpted from the website, www.capecodliving.blogspot.com

Last year, Atsalis faced questions about his income tax filings when the state placed a $6,524 lien on his West Hyannisport home on Sept. 2 for income taxes due for the years 2002, 2003, 2005 and 2006, according to records at the county Registry of Deeds. The lien was lifted on Sept. 19.

He also continues to owe almost $4,300 in property taxes for Fiscal Year 2009, according to Barnstable Town Collector Maureen Niemi. He has not yet paid his quarterly bills due in August and November 2008 and February 2009, she said.

The $4,300 property tax bill includes 14 percent interest for lack of payment, she said.

Atsalis contends that he is not yet late on the payments because they cover the 2009 fiscal year, which will not end until June 30. He will surely complete the payments by the end of the year, he said.

"I'm not late and I have never been late on my property taxes", he said.
