Blabbermouth Thoman, Runs Up Her Bills, Again! Not another Police Call, Taryn!

Taryn Anne Thoman of Taryn's Mirror had a long and established history of claiming break-in and robbery at her tawdry gift shop on Main Street. The third time that the Barnstable Police claimed the robberies were an inside job, they launched a full and comprehesive investigation. Sure enough, the items Thoman claimed were stolen were miraculously recovered from her vehicle and her purse. Thoman claimed she "spaced out".

CAN YOU SAY INSURANCE FRAUD!

Click on to view an attachment to Thoman's property. She has $25,000 in liens taken out on her property for unpaid sales tax. WHAT A CROOK!

Then Thoman decides to sue her neighbors and force injunctive relief. The efforts Thoman made to make life difficult for the families and children on Mountain Ash Road is beyond belief. The parents involved are hoping for justice on April 29th, when Thoman answers to the charges that she criminally harassed her neighbors and abused their children by making false DSS claims and reports. WHAT A JERK!

The children's crossing guard is dragged into the brouhaha!(Click on to enlarge!)

And lastly, the neighbors are called in to dispute the delusions of a crazed lunatic!

Maybe a Little More Respect for the Mary Compiler Show!

By request and popular demand, I am reposting some of the older items available previously on www.barnstablesafety.net. There is an ongoing matter with Taryn Anne Thoman of Marstons Mills in the Barnstable District Court. Thoman focused much of the time on the stress and strain on members of law enforcement having to deal with the "dregs" of society on a daily basis in the Barnstable District Court.

Thoman developed a number of offensive YouTubes and obscene graphics referring to her neighbors and members of the Barnstable Town Council as "White Trash". This woman has extensive experience and comments in regard to the "No Place for Hate Committee" chaired by Councilor Janice Barton of Precinct Twelve.

Her Court Date for Criminal Harassment is set for Wednesday, April 29, 2008. It's Thoman's turn to answer to "the people", her peers, the slime and scum of society.

Dear Mr. Klimm,

I understand you are under pressure to move The NOAH Campus from the downtown area to begin renovations on the “Walkway to the Sea” project to revitalize the tourist industry in the Hyannis area. I am unsure that it is prudent to promote expansion of any kind in regard to HAC/DUFFY/PILOT. Please take an opportunity to review some of the materials presented in regard to practices at this substandard human service establishment. I have enclosed a letter to the Chief Finnegan with a series of photographs of drug use in broad daylight that is common on any given day.

Please try to pay attention to some of the promises that HAC has made to the residents of Sandwich that clients of Dana’s Field’s that are unsuitable and cannot maintain a contract for recovery will be driven back to the newly renovated Mildred’s Chowder House. Review the architectural plans for Livia Davis and Tom Brigham’s four and three bedroom homes respectively and the price tag for this project. 80% of these current clients of NOAH will not be able to be considered for potential candidacy at Dana’s Fields. The vast majority would be excluded because of federally mandated HUD CORI checks and otherwise preempted by Chief Miller of the Sandwich Police Department. Although the shelter would no longer be concentrated in the downtown area overnight, their clients will most certainly find the drug action. It has already been suggested by staff knowledgeable in regard to this population that clients will continue to camp in the downtown area overnight.

Please review the quotes verbatim of Judy Best and Alan Burt in the materials provided. Enjoy the picturesque scene reminiscent of “knights at the round table” and their “amazing experience”. I can honestly tell you they brought me a true understanding of “peace and justice” issues. When you see the rehabilitation, let me know.

Sincerely,

Mary Clements

Mr. Gary Brown
Barnstable Town Council
Barnstable Town Hall
367 Main Street
Hyannis, MA 02616

Dear Mr. Brown,

I have been following the crisis involving the homeless in Hyannis and have noted your comments regarding practicality and feasibility of renovating the Mildred’s Chowder House into an expanded center serving this needy population. Please consider the materials enclosed in addition to documents and information that have been forwarded to you via Mr. Gonzaga/Stuart Bornstein.

I understand that you have lobbied for state funds and requested assistance from associated government agencies to meet this regional problem. I would ask you to review any and all pertinent documentation that may suggest that the negligent standards of the predominant human service establishment may be complicit by precipitating the current crisis. It is entirely possible that the not-for-profit Housing Assistance Corporation and its associated spin off industry “The Duffy Health Clinic” may have created the current crisis by providing substandard services and negligent practices. Please review tax forms provided.

The organization often appears to serve as a charitable industry that rehabilitates the disenfranchised of society. The joint organizations have instead promoted an industry that generated a clientele and cash flow while providing services so negligent that vulnerable clients were forced out into the streets to make room for additional clients. The conditions at the shelter were indeed so hostile that emotionally and psychologically ill clients suffered exacerbation of their individual conditions. Please review documentation of policies and practices including my health records at said shelter. When the problem reached compelling proportions Town Officials and Law Enforcement Personnel responded appropriately and effectively to protect both client health and public safety.

The human service advocates supporting this substandard agency generated sufficient public outcry in regard to unfairness that more municipal resources were provided to support the negligent practices and substandard organization. This resulted in not only promotion of the status quo, but also forced the town and taxpayer to support and provide services to a clientele already mismanaged by the Housing Assistance Corporation. Meanwhile the organization pursued its spin-off Dana’s Field Project at a price tag of 11.5 million. Please review the architectural designs for the personal homes planned for two HAC Executives at a price tag of $578,000 and $482,000 respectively. Mr. Presbrey stated in the Sandwich Zoning Board proceedings that HAC takes a $200,000 loss annually by keeping the shelter open as “favor” to the town of Hyannis.

Please review all documents to procure funding for NOAH/DUFFY and the State Budget appropriations for these organizations. The organization has promised the residents of the Town of Sandwich that the clients that fail at rehabilitation will be returned to the NOAH Facility here in Hyannis. The combined human service organizations applying for funds for the Pilot House/NOAH expanded center indeed disputed that many if not most of the clients they have been serving are not rehabilitated and have not been provided effective treatment and services. Please review documents pertaining to the quality of services rendered in what intended to be a brief stay at NOAH. Livia Davis of Housing Assistance Corporation has promised extensive background checks by the Dana’s Fields Advisory Board with CORI checks performed by two parties on of which would be Chief Miller of the Sandwich Police Department. This agreement for public safety would preclude the majority of clients from becoming eligible for the consideration in the application process for the farm where Livia Davis and Tom Brigham and their respective families intend to make their prospective homes.

It appears that we may need to limit the number of “incoming wounded”. There is substantial evidence the shelter is operating at such a negligent standard that it presents a great risk to both vulnerable clients and an unsuspecting community. The Barnstable Human Services Needs Subcommittee was already addressing problems regarding homelessness at the time I began to notice grave deficiencies in services at the shelter. Livia Davis informed me that the organization was not going to send in another representative to the meeting because the meetings were becoming “accusatory in nature”. She did have Rick Brigham attend the meeting scheduled for the following morning where the decision to dismantle the camps was virtually made.

The town indeed followed a plan to “clean up the camps and to identify homeless in need”. The shelter Director Rick Brigham is on record in the Cape Cod Times supporting the effort but stated that the organization was at capacity and essentially not responsible for the crisis. There was a cry for financial support and a relief effort established by the Council of Churches. Housing Assistance Corporation continued to focus on an expansion project such as “Dana’s Fields. It appears that HAC has deliberately or inadvertently increased the number and the morbidity of people that have yet to be served, treated or rehabilitated. It appears that their strategy was to continue to do so at the expense of clients and the community in which they function.

I am recommending closure of the NOAH Shelter with an alternative system put in place. Funds that have been allocated to Housing Assistance Corporation can be redirected through federal receivership or court injunction. I recommend a network of permanent houses set up such as group homes that could provide necessary services. Ms. Heather Lowe who works for Baybridge and is connected with VINFEN has served on the Barnstable Human Service Needs Committee can give you a more comprehensive approach to what can be achieved for vulnerable and disadvantaged clients. Jemma Lambert also serving on the Barnstable Human Services Task Force has expertise in the field of gerontology and aging and I have confidence that she could provide you with a high standard with services that have been traditionally procured for the elderly. This most often does not include banning them for Maalox or eating a banana after bedtime.

The majority of clients are indeed struggling with criminal backgrounds and progressive sociopathic illness. The immersion of such personalities into a network where narcotics are plentiful and abundant is foolhardy at best. In an atmosphere or climate where a hostile and aggressive climate will further exacerbate existing conditions for not only the individual but also the community. Alan Burt states, “criminal halfway houses that were traditionally established for parolees have not proven successful for rehabilitation.” I am unsure that an innovative highly structured program instituted for this clientele that separates them from potential victims would not be more effective that allowing parolees to roam and rule the streets. It may be time for the human service industry and the community at large to concede that these individuals need to be returned to the auspices of the Department of Corrections.

Sincerely,

Mr. Alan Burt

Barnstable, MA 02616

Dear Alan,

I have enclosed some documents that have been previously forwarded to a number of parties regarding the homeless crisis here in Hyannis. Some may be persuaded that the current human service establishment may indeed be so substandard and negligent in operation that it is doing so at risk to the entire community. I realize that we have great differences in philosophy as to what course of action would best meet the needs of this difficult to serve population. Some legislators and elected officials may be unsure as to how to proceed in regard to this issue and in particular the human service monopoly Housing Assistance Corporation they have so far zealously supported.

I recall you laughed during an advocacy meeting for homeless clientele when a young man named Aaron recounted his plight. He was unreasonably banned at the mercy of Paulette Heath. Ms. Heath had a predisposition to target vulnerable clients and an established history of abusing clients as she saw fit. I remember distinctly that her insistence on continuing this pattern provoked my ire and your amusement. Please refer to letters written previously regarding the quality of staff at NOAH.

I appreciate that you attempted to understand that my “unreasonable anger” toward this grossly negligent and substandard organization. I know we had many discussions where at times I agreed that there is some level of unfairness directed toward the homeless. You insist that this includes not only the community in general, but also town officials, law enforcement and fire and rescue personnel. I know that you pressured Mr. Royden Richardson of District 4 to have the “foyer” opened after NOAH refused to accommodate the clients removed from the woods after the dismantling of the makeshift camps. You told me these were desperate times. You also pushed for the premature opening of the Pilot House and you stated that the Fire Department was being unreasonable in regard to fire safety laws. You confided in me that this resulted in a “rather angry call this morning from Mr. Richardson.”

I know that the Fire Department can be real sticklers about fire safety. They have chided me on two occasions for dismantling my smoke/heat detectors on a spot check after Mr.Wayne Viera set the alarms off smoking narcotics in a neighboring apartment. You will recall that Glenda McMullen, a parolee from Framingham, also an active crack addict and narcotics dealer maintains an apartment adjacent to the evicted Mr. Viera. She is also not rehabilitated by HAC/DUFFY or the probation department of which you were her supervising officer. Mr. Viera is now residing at The Pilot House.

It is true that fire personnel respond with tremendous alacrity when lives including their own are at risk. I remember when you were criticizing the fire personnel for enforcing stringent fire safety policies you suggested that department personnel were deliberately targeting the homeless. You went so far to suggest that the Fire Department’s requisition requesting and expensive thermal imaging unit at a price tag over $10,000 was “outrageous and ludicrous”. You stated the money could better be spent “helping the homeless”. You also challenged churches to dismiss the admonitions of fire personnel in regard to the “Overnights of Hospitality”. I reminded you of the Worcester Cold Storage Warehouse Fire where eleven men lost their lives trying to rescue two homeless squatters. The two intoxicated individuals in question had started the fire and fled. They observed the disaster over drinks from a nearby bar. The two survivors were nearly charged with negligent homicide. Approximately two weeks before Hyannis’ very own candle factory inferno your words verbatim included:

“The loss of life is always tragic. The Homeless are incapable of
understanding the consequences of their actions. The fire fighters
are paid well for what they do. Do you have any idea how much
those guys make?”

You continue to condemn the actions of law enforcement and the public works department at the discretion of the Barnstable Town Manager, John Klimm. Mr. Klimm is on record approving the police action to dismantle the makeshift camps in an effort to recognize the magnitude of the crisis and initiate a relief effort. As the town began to make concessions and accommodations you continued to criticize the action of town officials while demanding more resources to expand and negligent albeit over-saturated human service monopoly.

You did indeed suggest that the Fire Department stigmatized Tim Furlan and his girlfriend Roxanne by referring to them as “homeless” in the accounts in the newspaper after a fire started in the abandoned candle factory. You stated that they should have been referred to simply as “two people who happened to be in the candle factory when the blaze began”. You also said the event was not very good PR for The Overnights of Hospitality Program. I suggested that these types of disasters may be the impetus for the thermal imaging units requested by the fire department. You then stated “ I forgot about that!” All of the town’s services will use this to get more municipal funds.”

You lost my support completely when you recruited members of The Council of Churches to resist the scheduled clean up of neighborhoods. You labeled the follow up event to survey the camps as “an effort to target the homeless.” You placed in writing a phone number where church member could complain to the police department about their “slick and deceptive” action of the part of law enforcement. Livia Davis spoke about the importance of the “Dana’s Field’s Project at this particular Saturday meeting at the Federated Church. The handout with your comments resisting this effort was last in the possession of Sergeant Sean Sweeney.

Lastly, I have enclosed Friday’s article commending the Hyannis Firefighters for their honor and valor rescuing Tim Furlan with a Thermal Imaging Unit. Publicity on six brave firemen who used not only cutting-edge technology but also sound judgment must really insult your sensibilities.

I know you consider yourself to be an outspoken advocate for the homeless and a quiet supporter of Housing Assistance Corporation(HAC) formerly known of as Cape Housing Office Assistance (CHAOS). There are times when I have come to rely on you for not only what to think but also how I am supposed to feel. I recognize on behalf of CHAOS that the Almighty Alan Burt has spoken.

Sincerely,

Mary Clements

Dear Chief Finnegan,

Yesterday afternoon I left notice with your secretary that I was forwarding documents to offended parties in regard to The NOAH Shelter. As you are aware, Mr. Rick Presbrey of Housing Assistance Corporation has stated publicly that I am irresponsible for suggesting that there is a concentration of sex offenders and the NOAH Shelter and that you are willing to state emphatically that this is not true.

Please review the materials provided. A uniformed police officer has stated that Paul Nolin has been traced to the shelter. A number of habitual clients remember Paul Nolin and others have identified him from a series of pictures that I presented. I have included a request made to my bank for a transaction photo of the check paid to Mr. Leon Quick by The Duffy Clinic for services.

It appears that public safety is becoming a priority for parents and children on downtown Main Street.

Thank you for your time and attention.

Dear Ms. Paccia,

Several months ago I forwarded some documents to you in regard to clients at Housing Assistance Corporation’s NOAH Shelter. You may recall that the Duffy Clinic associated with the organization has denied knowledge of Mr. Leon Quick despite employing him briefly as a handyman. It is true that Mr. Quick imbibed in alcohol abuse at The Duck Inn Pub adjacent to the Sturgis Charter School attended by your daughter. I remember listening to your frustration that Mr. Quick was recently released, again, after accosting your child in the Ways News Convenience Store. You were frustrated because the judge ruled that “alcoholism was not a crime” and that Leon had been staring at children through binoculars from his apartment next to the school and pub.

I recall agreeing with you that your child was indeed lucky and kept her wits about her and identified Mr. Quick after the incident in the principal’s office of her school. I also remembered suggesting to you that there are a lot of concerned citizens and child advocates that understood your predicament. I told you that your child should hope and trust that the problem with such offenders would some day be resolved. It’s a frightening thought that although your child was lucky, not all children will be as fortunate. It’s difficult to live with the fear and guilt knowing that a person or child beside you may not be as lucky.

The organization is now sponsoring an effort to establish a new non-profit and intends to lobby for a “wet shelter” on South Street within walking distance to your child’s school. On the following page was an article on tracking sex offenders and that a new Level III offender was tracked to NOAH. He refused to register properly and was arrested on the following day. I have enclosed the article detailing how he was arrested after a report from an alert citizen in Yarmouth. Mr. Rick Presbrey stated that I was “irresponsible” for suggesting that there are any serious sex offenders tracked to NOAH. He stated for the record that The Barnstable Police Department would verify that there were no serious convicted felons or sex offenders living at or around his organization. He states that there was no greater propensity of such individuals living homeless in state subsidized shelters. We are now aware that there is a concentration of convicted felons in the downtown area in proximity to several schools and businesses. He did not respond to my suggestion that sex offenders are homeless when released from prison. Mr. Presbrey plans to serve as president of the new non-profit.

The Chief of Police in Barnstable negotiated a significant salary increase at or around the decision to pursue the Mildred’s Chowder House as a site for expanded services. The FAA blocked this effort in conjunction with attorneys representing Stuart Bornstein of The Radisson Hotel, Holly Management, and Village Market Place LLP. He is a well-known real estate developer with interests in keeping public safety a priority near his hotel. The site on South Street is also in proximity to his residential properties and I intend to keep Mr. Borstein’s attorney apprised of further proliferation and expansion of the industry. Mr. Tom Lynch of the Barnstable Housing Authority is on record stating that he his sensitive to the location of the proposed “wet shelter” in regard to its proximity to the commercial and business district. I am forwarding this correspondence to Mr. William Henchy, Esq. representing the interests of The Sandwich Family Association. Expansion of the industry and creation of a new non-profit affects his client and I am aware that you make your home in the neighboring town of Sandwich.

Please review the photographs provided and correspondence to public officials in regard to public safety and NOAH. I have forwarded this information to Representative Jeff Perry of Sandwich and Governor Mitt Romney. You suggested that you might want to contact town officials in Barnstable yourself in regard to public health and safety issues as they affect your child. I have enclosed the Guide to Barnstable should you decide to take such initiative. Town Councilor Anne Canedy has demonstrated sensitivity to public safety issues and taken the initiative to escort the Barnstable Police Officers in patrol cars to appreciate the difficulties facing law enforcement.

Paul Niedzwicki, Esq. is the new Assistant Town Manager and was formerly associated with District Attorney Michael O’Keefe’s office. The District Attorney did request deference to this organization. This was before the serious nature of such offenders was made known and before Jonathan Wessner was murdered in Falmouth. Please understand that Paul Nolin was formerly known to the Salvation Army/NOAH Campus. The Sex Offender Registry Notifications Board was revamped after this incident.

Town Manager John Klimm has expressed frustration with political impediments to revitalization and gentrification of the downtown and Greater Barnstable and Business Improvement District’s Executive Director Cynthia Cole has attempted to contribute skills and resources to improve the quality of human services and reconcile the interests of downtown development with the organization in question. As you can see, the clients and advocates continue to be problematic despite her efforts and have taken advantage of community resources. This can be demonstrated by the photographs of a number of serious offenders lurking and loitering in the downtown areas. Sergeant Sean Sweeney of the Barnstable Police Department has requested copies of all photographs produced in three years of research on the non-profit formerly known as Cape Housing Assistance Office Services (CHAOS.) Barnstable Town Council President Gary Brown has emerged as a strong leader and adopted a no nonsense approach to the “homeless cause”.

There are a number of mature and responsible individuals willing to listen to your thoughts on public safety, your daughter and her classmates and friends. Please reassure your child that common sense in regard to public safety issues will prevail in Hyannis, Sandwich and the Greater Cape Region.

Sincerely,

Mary Clements

Patriot's Day: A Time to Remember the Real Heroes!

Monday, April 20th, was a celebration and tribute to folks who died protecting American Liberties. Memorials and celebrations become even more poignant when sacrifices made by the brave and courageous are abused by those who know nothing.

(CONSIDER: www.capecog.com, www.barnstable411.com, www.capecodliving.com, www.barnstablefreepress.com)

Comments Delivered at Barnstable Town Council, March 20, 2008

TEXT:
Good Evening Ladies and Gentlemen,

The First Amendment is clearly the most important and protected amendment of the Bill of Rights. Rights guaranteed by the First Amendment are the most hard fought in US History. The parameter is broad and at times ambiguous to define. Historically, there have been efforts to limit or “curb” free speech. That limit concerns the principle of “clear and present danger”. Oliver Wendell Holmes writing for the majority in 1919 Schenck v. United States was the originator the now famous quotation “you can’t yell fire in a crowded theater.”

Now all of you lawyers bear with me. As you know Schenck was later overturned by Brandenburg v. Ohio. The definition on the limitation of free speech includes a limit or ban on speech only when directed to incite imminent and lawless action. We truly do need to examine the consequences of free speech and reckless behavior, especially by those entrusted with power. I continue to be concerned about the events of March 6, 2008 and the assault on my First Amendment rights. I’m definitely yelling “fire”.

We truly do live in a “Brave New World” of high speed communication and mass media. This may be true. Times have changed, but the Bill of Rights hasn’t. For instance, Evan Thomas, writing for Newsweek Magazine has referenced Modern-Day McCarthyism in his discussion of outrageous websites such as juicycampus.com. For those of you who have less Internet access than I do, juicycampus.com is a popular network of websites that maliciously slanders, libels, and attacks student on college campuses. Apparently this website has recently been forced off the Internet for obvious reasons. As an aside, I read about the recent controversy in a printed copy of the Boston Globe, there it was in the newspaper in black and white, the old fashioned way.

One does not have to reach for the Ivy League to appreciate the power of vitriolic and malicious speech. One only needs to sample the offerings on a number of websites in the community of Barnstable to realize a threat to the emotional health and well-being of all of the residents in Barnstable and most importantly, its smallest constituents.

Dear Ms. Thoman,

Please consider a sampling of the many pictures, correspondence, and complaints I have made over the past seven years in regard to public safety. I am tremendously sympathetic toward the compromise to Aidan’s health and well being. I appreciate the trust and faith that you had in me. Confiding intimate and personal details of such traumatic events can be disarming for anyone. I’m so hoping for an improvement in the standard for safety that you demand for all children.

I am impressed with your commitment to resolve matters pertaining to child health and welfare and I hope you will continue to make this an integral part of your future plans. I see great promise for you as an advocate for children’s rights. I wish you the best of luck.

Yours truly,

Dear Mr. Still,

Enclosed are the printed texts of my remarks delivered at Public Comment at The Town Council Meetings of March 6, 2008 and subsequently March 20, 2008. I have also forwarded a copy of the Rules 5F of The Barnstable Town Charter for your review.

Clearly, none of my comments was in violation of the rules established by the Charter of The Town of Barnstable. Councilor Chirigotis and President Joakim objected to the content of my comments based on controversy that compromises the stature of the sitting council president. As you are aware, President Joakim has denied that there are any scurrilous and libelous comments posted on her website, “Seven Villages”. President Janet Joakim has evidenced an extreme lack of judgment that exposes her poor character and lack of integrity. As an attorney, Councilor Chirigotis is aware of potential liability and possible litigation against the town pursuant to Joakim’s actions. President Janet Joakim’s actions are not only egregious and offensive, they are worthy of her immediate resignation and dismissal.

Lastly, I have forwarded copies of comments posted on “sevenvillagesblog.com” and “barnstablebeat.blogspot.com”, websites constructed by Janet Joakim. I maintain that any reference to a child as a “kid of convenience” is an outrage. The compromise of the health, safety, and welfare of any child or group of children is beyond reproach.

Sincerely,

Chairman Clark, Are you sure that this is just a vendetta?

Charter Commission Chairman Richard Clark suggests that Public Comment has caused a few disgruntled constituents to embark on a cruel "vendetta" against the existing political infrastructure. The town council has been apprised of a breach to children's safety by a public commenter for four years. Crazy, but persistent, the woman complaining about the standard for public safety was removed by force for insisting that the council address the issues of impropriety President Joakim's policies for children. The sitting political infrastructure continues to maintain that Barnstable is an All-America City.

Please consider the correspondence and postings on a website dedicated to children's health, welfare and safety in Barnstable.

Game Plan for www.welcometobarnstable.com

Good Morning, Gentle readers,

In the pursuit of justice, I have been asked to remove the previous post and remove several comments posted previously. Items pertaining to the case of Criminal Harassment against Thoman have been delivered to a number of interested parties. Documents, materials and evidence supporting the narrative provided to local law enforcement corroborate the statement provided to public officials now investigating Thoman. In addition, the Cybercrimes Unit of the Attorney General's Office has demonstrated an interest in resolving matters pertaining to Internet blogging and the hostile political climate affecting all residents and constituents of Barnstable.

Later this afternoon, I plan to repost most items previously placed on www.barnstablesafetynetwork. In addition, I have developed to cross sites, www.welcometocapecod.info, www.welcometocapecod.net and www.barnnstablesafety.net.
I appreciate your patience and forebearance as I post a number of items.

Lastly, I have a number of postings in regard to Thoman and her propensity to claim sexual abuse of children. I have already photographed the display of Children's Cove and I intend to use my photographs in my posts. The reason why I am making a point to inform my readership that I use a film camera is to reassure bloggers that I have already worked on a post involving the display for this agency in front of the banks in Barnstable. Thoman simply posted pictures first and will claim that bloggers are plagiarizing her ideas. Not so.

Thoman may have a "dangerously creative" mind, but obviously, she has never had an original thought in her life!

Thank you.

Wave Good-bye to Mommie Dearest, Aidan! Your mother belongs in jail!

Alas, Here is poor Aidan Wilcox, and his attention grabbing, highfalutin, glory seeking, intellectually inferior, high maintenance mother!

This sad story of motherhood is one for hysterical adventures Freud. Horsing around in the backyard and "pantsing" neighborhood children is not considered sexual abuse. Crying "rape" for attention, financial gain, or political reasons on the other hand, is sexual abuse. The notorious offender is sadly pictured above with her child. Taryn Thoman has to be the worst mother on the planet. The only thing Ron Howell is guilty of is insisting this lazy dolt go hire herself a babysitter and to quit sending their unattended child to play in his yard. Ron's wife (a maternity nurse) provided him with care and nurturance. What did the Howells get in return? Litigation from their drunken and obstreperous neighbors.

Can you say Thoman is simply out for money?

Hi Christine,

While I was attempting to unearth the plethora of documents provided to me by your neighbor, Ms. Taryn Thoman, I discovered a number of materials that demonstrate Ms. Thoman has focused much of her animosity on Janet Joakim through you. Please note the email forwarded to Thoman from her sister Therese Marinelli in regard to your nursing license. I have copied both front and back of this document clearing demonstrating that she and her sister conspired to make the complaint on your license. Ms. Thoman was very adamant stating that she wanted an independent party to formulate a complaint on your license. She suggested that her sister’s career would be in jeopardy and that you had vindictively attacked Therese Marinelli in the past. Although she provided substantial materials to show concern, she never provided the amount of video footage she claimed to have in her possession. She did state that the video she provided of you would be instrumental in proving that you “had no impulse control”. Thoman believes that footage is more effective than documents and suggested that the video clip she provided would be most effective to prove a case against your license.

Please note the narrative provided by Ms. Thoman in regard to the hypodermic needles scattered in your driveway on your premises. I continue to be haunted by the conversation we had regarding the quality and appearance of these needles. Ms. Thoman begrudgingly admitted to me that her sister, Therese Marinelli worked in heparin/coumadin studies with physicians developing new medications for thrombosis. She also once admitted to me that Therese let her take materials from the storage closets at Ohio State. The syringes and needles that you described to me appear to be heparin syringes and would be accessible from the supply closets at Marinelli’s workplace.

Thank you for your time and attention. I am hoping for the best for you in regard to the problems at Mountain Ash Road.

Sincerely,

Mary

RECALL ORGANIZER FACES CRIMINAL HARASSMENT CHARGES

Written by David Still II
October 23, 2008
Thoman to be arraigned Nov. 4

Taryn Thoman, 49, of Marstons Mills, is scheduled to be arraigned Nov. 4 at Barnstable First District Court on two charges of criminal harassment against her next-door neighbors, Ronald and Christine Howell.

The charges detailed in the complaint indicated that the harassment occurred “over a period of time between May 2006 and August 2008.”

Attempts to reach Thoman were not successful by press time.

Thoman is the driving force behind the recall effort of Town Council President Joakim, which some say can trace its origins to the neighborhood conflict that spurred the harassment charges. There is no indication in court records that Joakim is involved in the harassment case.

The arraignment had been scheduled for today (Oct. 24) but was rescheduled at the request of Thoman’s attorney, J. Drew Segadelli of Falmouth, because of schedule conflicts.

It is the second time the Barnstable Police Department has brought similar charges against Thoman for involvement with the same neighbors.

The prior complaint for criminal harassment, along with complaints brought directly by the neighbors against Thoman and by Thoman against the neighbors, were part of district court proceedings from 2006 through July 2007. In July 2007, a judge entered “nolle pros” for all of the charges, meaning they would not be prosecuted, “in the interest of justice.”

When Thoman became a candidate for the Barnstable Charter Commission in fall 2007, Christine Howell began posting statements about her experiences with her neighbor to multiple Web sites focusing on the Town of Barnstable, including one operated by Joakim.

It was after these postings on Joakim’s site, sevenvillagesblog.com, that Thoman became active in criticizing Joakim.

Thoman’s attorney characterized the case as a "Hatfield/McCoy neighborhood dispute" with "underpinnings to some political motives.”

"It's frivolous," Segadelli said in a phone interview Oct. 23. "I look forward to going to court and trying it."

The court file for these new charges is scant on details regarding the May 5, 2008 incident that prompted them. It does contain the hand-written notes of Clerk Magistrate Robert Powers, who allowed the BPD’s complaint to be presented in court.

At the Aug. 28 hearing Thoman indicated that her attorney could not be present because of obligations in other courts. According to the magistrate’s hand-written notes, Thoman’s attorney returned a message during the hearing in his office, where he said he was that entire afternoon. The notes also stated that Segadelli had not been retained by Thoman for the hearing.

During the magistrate’s hearing, Thoman called Gary Lopez, operator of the capecog.com blog site, as a witness. According to the magistrate’s notes, “He also didn’t have much to add other than his belief that Ms. Thoman was responsible for putting a video of Ms. Howell on U-Tube (sic).”

Powers also noted that he had a conversation with Thoman during the hearing regarding “immediate medical issues” Thoman claimed in a motion before the hearing.

In a Sept. 3 magistrate’s report, Powers questioned some of the assertions made by Thoman leading into and during the prior hearing.

“It would appear that the ‘immediate’ medical attention that the deft. said she required in her 8/27/08 motion apparently only needed attention at the time of the 8/28/08 hearing,” Powers wrote. “There appears to be some question as to what [the defendant] is attempting to perpetrate on this court.”

Separate charges from a separate incident were brought against Thoman’s husband, Dennis Wilcox. He was arraigned Sept. 4 on assault and battery charges stemming from a May 22 incident with Christine Howell. He pleaded not guilty and a pretrial conference was held last month.

In a phone interview Thursday (Oct. 23), Christine Howell said that she’s just looking to put an end to the situation.

“It’s been a pattern of behavior for three years… and really it affects the entire neighborhood,” Howell said.

This month, Thoman filed papers with the Barnstable Town Clerk’s office forming the “Recall Election of Precinct 6 Councilor Joakim” committee, with herself as president and treasurer. Wilcox is listed as another officer.

Barnstable is better than this
Yes, it is true. Barnstable is better than this.

It is certainly better than the front page smear on Thoman and Wilcox. When "political malcontents" have to face trumped up criminal changes seven days before an election, you might as well move to Zambia.

Call me a political malcontent, but COG has to be completely off the reservation to support the inane antics of Taryn Thoman!

Taryn Thoman, Biggest Lunatic in Barnstable Exposed!

Meet the indomitable Taryn Thoman, a woman who literally embodies the spirit of Fran Drescher's "Enter Whining". Poor Taryn Thoman, foreclosing on her home, making DSS Reports to prove her social prowess, attempting to rub elbows with the high and mighty and dominate those she deems of lesser power emerges as the ultimate Millbilly! Millbully?

Posted below is the Clerk Magistrates records of the events that lead to the Criminal Harassment Charge against her. You can see by the narrative posted below that Taryn Thoman is a lot of things. Unfortunately, bright is not one of them.

From the District Court:
0825AC300 THOMAN 9-19-08 (1A)
I called this matter a little after 4pm, no Atty had appeared. I informed Ms. THOMAN that the hearing would proceed with or without counsel-she indicated that Mr. Segadelli had some matters in other courts as well. The hearing began as the courtroom was cleared. All witnesses were sequestered. Sgt. Caido gave a brief overview of the case. A.D.A.E. Connor was also present. A full, complete and extensive hearing was held. Sometime during the hearing the A.D.A. received a call from Mr. Segadelli saying that he would not be coming. He said he had been in his office all afternoon and that although he had spoken to the defendant earlier in the day, he had not been retained.

Christine Howell was the first to testify and gave extensive testimony of various events from August 2008. She gave testimony of various events from August 2005 up till August 2008. She gave testimony about her experiences as well as her husband’s.

0825AC3008 THOMAN 9-19-08 (2A)

Officer Mark Delaney was next to testify. He talked about how he first got involved with the parties (neighbors) back in 2006. He also gave testimony about events he was involved in with the parties.

Based on his testimony and that of Ms. Howell I did not hear from Mr. Howell, believing that his testimony would be duplicitous at this point.

I then allowed Ms. THOMAN to present witnesses. Her first witness was her husband D. Wilcox. He was followed by his old boss, R. HAYES. Mr. Hayes had no direct knowledge of any of the issues before the court. Mr. LOPEZ was her final witness. He also didn’t have much to add other than he believed Ms. THOMAN was responsible for putting a video of Ms. Howell on U-Tube.

Ms.THOMAN was then given the opportunity to speak. At some point during the hearing, I did ask Ms. THOMAN if she was O.K. She said she was, although she would waive a large baggie full of apparent prescriptions in the air every once in a while. In a prior motion she had put forth

0825AC3008 THOMAN 9-19-08 (3A)

that she had immediate medical issues. I asked her several times about them and any doctor’s letters she might have, but she failed to produce anything.

I also asked her if she was on any medication today which would cloud her thinking. She said “no!” I asked her if she was under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs today and she said “No!”

I believe that Ms. THOMAN was a competent witness and I allowed her to continue her testimony.

At the conclusion of all the testimony, about 21/2 hours after it began I was given some additional papers from both Ms. THOMAN and Ms. Howell.

I took all the paperwork and my copius notes along with the file. This matter is “Under Advisement.”

Meet Taryn Thoman : Crazy is as crazy does!

Detective Mark Delaney
PO Box B

Hyannis, MA 02601

Dear Detective Delaney,

Thank you for meeting with me briefly on March 5, 2009. As you are aware, I met Ms. Taryn Thoman when she was involved with the recall effort to remove President Janet Swain Joakim from office last November. Ms. Thoman sought my assistance with a number of initiatives including collecting signatures for Open Meeting of the Voters and the Recall Affidavit. I worked with her on these initiatives and efforts over seven months in spring and summer of 2008. I was introduced to Taryn Thoman in late January of 2008 through Lou Gonzaga for the purposes of developing a grassroots organization to improve the quality of municipal politics. Telephone numbers were exchanged and a meeting was arranged to discuss efforts to improve the quality of municipal government in February of 2008.

During the course of my involvement with Taryn Thoman and Citizens for Open Government (COG),
Ms. Thoman described the details of her difficulties with her neighbors, Christine and Ron Howell and their children. Thoman described ongoing difficulty with a delicate neighborhood dispute that evolved over three years. Ms. Thoman claimed that the police were continually involved and that Chief Paul MacDonald made exemplary efforts to resolve the matter peacefully. Ms. Thoman states that there were several months span of improved conditions on Mountain Ash Road. Ms. Thoman complained that when she began to campaign for a seat on the charter commission, the intensity of antagonistic and malevolent behavior escalated. Police Reports and court documents indicate conditions on Mountain Ash Road were exacerbated in this neighborhood when Taryn Thoman dropped her efforts at litigation in civil court and campaigned for a seat on the proposed charter commission. Members of Citizens for Open Government were attempting to establish a charter commission, and secure elected seats on this commission should this initiative pass. Shortly we were introduced, Ms. Thoman complained about Internet attacks that involved her, her husband, Dennis Wilcox, and their son Aidan Wilcox. Ms. Thoman initially suggested that her reasons for wanting Joakim removed were personal and not political. She emphatically stated that President Joakim and Christine Howell deliberately attacked her family for political reasons. I asked Ms. Thoman to provide me with such notation and documentation and produce such comments. I told her that if she could demonstrate that she and her child were libeled and attacked over the Internet I would assist her in any way possible. She produced such notation, forwarded website links and provided me with a list of comments that were produced in regard to Internet political blog wars. I saved the notation, and told her I would assist.

1) See video tape of comments at town council meeting produced by Thoman on March 6, 2008.

2) Refer to second video of comments at town meeting. March 17. These second set of comments were greatly developed and directed by Thoman.

3) Please consider extensive Internet blog notation and websites developed by Ms. Thoman.

After I became involved with Citizens for Open Government, Ms. Taryn Thoman asked me to accompany her to the memorial service for a mutual acquaintance and former candidate for Charter Commission, Peter Doiron of Barnstable. On April 5, 2008, a small group from Citizens from Open Government attended the service at the South Congregational Church and conversed at the reception. Conversation regarding municipal government and the charter commission ensued. Ms. Thoman began to describe the actions of her neighbors and complained about the problems she faced in her neighborhood at Mountain Ash Road. Many of those in attendance were politically active and aware of the scurrilous and malicious Internet blogging plaguing Barnstable at that time. Ms. Thoman began to discuss the actions of Christine and Ron Howell and spoke openly about the commotion and dissent on Mountain Ash Road. Ms. Thoman was complaining about the interference of municipal political figures in this dispute and their inability to resolve these issues. Thoman described alarming events and claimed to witness behavior that was extremely disturbing.

Thoman claimed to possess evidence of child abuse and footage of her neighbors driving to endanger. She described unusual events such as syringes and needles strewn in Christine Howell’s driveway and front yard. Ms. Thoman suggested that a complaint should be made to The Board of Registration in Nursing. Councilor Greg Milne, former Precinct Six Councilor Joe Pino, Oliver Cippolini and his wife, and former School Committee member Tom Dolby were present when Taryn Thoman complained that the reason for the harassing behavior was caused by her “insane neighbors being “inbred” child molesters”. Ms. Thoman mentioned publicly that she had made multiple DSS reports about a number of abused and neglected children in her neighborhood. She claimed that President Janet Swain Joakim deliberately instigated and provoked the Howell family in an effort to thwart the empanelling of the charter commission. Thoman stated these events ruined her chances at a political career, and essentially destroyed her life. Thoman believed that Joakim’s efforts to protect her own political aspirations resulted in ruining not only her chances for a political career and rightfully improve the quality of municipal politics, but also caused significant harm to her son, Aidan Wilcox.

Ms. Thoman often mentions that Janet Joakim was “Destroying” Barnstable, One Child, One Family, One Village at a Time. Please refer to the image produced by Thoman enclosed.

It was agreed by all attending the service and reception at the Congregational Church that I would formulate a complaint against the nursing license of Christine Howell. Several political candidates in attendance and seated at the table expressed concern over the controversial nature of such during an election year. Councilor Greg Milne, Joe Pino and Oliver Cippolini stated that they would support the effort if the problems could be substantiated. Joe Mr. Pino suggested that Thoman assist me with development of a website to join the team of political Internet bloggers. Immediately after the reception in the church hall on April 5, 2008, Ms. Thoman accompanied me to the adjacent Centerville Public Library to establish my website, www.barnstablesafetynetwork on “Blogger” and established an email account for me, emgc02601@hotmail.com. I have provided documentation of website notations in the past for your review. Ms. Thoman sat an adjacent terminal and began to post comments on her established websites including web pages targeting the Howell family. She stated that she was forced to respond in this manner to protect herself from Internet harassment instigated by Joakim. Please refer to the list of websites Thoman established for your review.

Ms. Thoman spoke with me daily about difficulty with the Howell family and problems with the neighbors throughout the seven month recall effort. Thoman continually held Joakim responsible for instigating problems with the Howells. She stated that Joakim was using the Howells to lobby a scurrilous campaign against her out of revenge for her helping establish the charter commission and campaigning for a seat on the established charter commission. Thoman stated that Joakim was intimidated by her and threatened by her prestige in the community. Taryn Thoman complained constantly that Joakim robbed her of a seat on the charter commission and if it weren’t for Howell’s campaign against her she would have been elected to serve. Ms. Thoman claimed to be a reputable business woman, the proprietor of a novelty shop on Main Street for 21 years. According to The Barnstable Patriot, Thoman came in “just out of the winner’s circle” finishing eleventh in the contest. Thoman maintained that the increase in the Howell’s antagonistic behavior and instigation of such events were politically motivated. Thoman admitted participation in the escalating events at Mountain Ash Road, related at times to her temper problems and occasional alcohol intoxication.

Ms. Thoman asked me to speak with her sister, Therese Marinelli via a conference call in late April of 2008. Please refer to the email communication enclosed between Ms. Thoman and Ms. Marinelli. I indeed spoke to Ms. Therese Marinelli of Ohio State University in a conference call with Thoman on or about April 14, 2008 and she provided me with substantial concern in regard to Howell’s actions. She claimed physicians at Ohio State considered Ms. Howell’s nursing practice questionable. This specifically included the improper disposal of needles and syringes, reckless driving, driving to endanger with children in the vehicle, and sexual abuse of the children. Marinelli also claimed footage of child abuse was in possession of the BPD and that there was substantial cause for the concern for neglect of the Howell children. Ms. Marinelli also stated she was aware of, and had witnessed assaultive behavior and sexual abuse by eight year old Tyler Varnum of the neighborhood. Ms. Marinelli stated that she worked with a number of physicians and specialists at Ohio State that they were aware of this abuse. She claimed that physicians working with her agreed that social services should be contacted on their behalf. Ms. Marinelli also stated that the doctors in Endocrinology with whom she worked were well aware of the outrageous nursing practice of Ms. Christine Howell. Marinelli claimed that physicians at Ohio State thought Registered Nursing practice in this state should be evaluated by a number of oversight boards and governmental committees. Ms. Marinelli also suggested that we complain to Senator Edward Kennedy’s Office about the quality and standard for nursing practice and that there would also be cause to “notify the Feds”.

Ms. Therese Marinelli claimed to be a witness that Mountain Ash Road was indeed replete with child molesters and sex abusers.

4) Enclosed is the extensive documentation provided to sustain and corroborate the complaints against Howell’s license. Several of these documents include affidavits created by Ms. Marinelli.

5) Please consider the photograph of the Howell couple enjoying a backyard barbeque. Ms. Thoman considered this evidence that both Christine and Ron are “in-bred”.

6) Ms. Thoman claimed to have substantial footage of Christine Howell driving recklessly, operating to endanger, presenting crazy behavior demonstrating “no impulse control” (Thoman’s words verbatim).

7) Please consider the footage of Howell campaigning against Thoman. Ms. Taryn Thoman provided me with this on April 15, 2008 when collaborating to make the complaint against Howell’s license. The computer terminal used was a public Internet site in downtown Hyannis. The company is called Net Zone and the organization allowed public Internet use at the time for a rate of $5.00/hr. Thoman always blogged for longer than one hour stating that the technicians wouldn’t notice and charge her only five dollars. Ms. Thoman blogged on barnstablebeat.blogspot.com at this café. I witnessed her harassing Howell on this site after providing me with the footage of Howell campaigning against her. Taryn Thoman stated she liked this specific Internet Café because of the anonymity involved.

Ms. Thoman promised me additional footage corroborating reckless behavior. She stated it was in the possession of the Barnstable Police Department and would request a copy from Paul MacDonald. The footage was never provided.

I spoke with Sean Erickson of the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing in early April in regard to formulation of the complaint against Howell. I explained that Ms. Thoman was never a patient in the care of Howell and that political aspirations of both Thoman and Joakim were a consideration and that Ms. Thoman did state that Ms. Christine Howell and her neighbors had a completely different perspective and version of the events that transpired over this three year span.

In July of 2008, Thoman offered to assist me with my website, www.barnstablesafetynetwork.com . She accompanied me to the Wilken's Memorial Library late in the afternoon in July. Thoman had little patience with me as a student and spent most of her time and energy on an adjacent terminal blogging. Thoman blogged onto a number of political websites posting antagonistic comments toward President Janet Joakim and Christine Howell.

8) I observed Taryn Thoman posting with my name, suggesting that three of the harassing websites were generated by me. Please refer to the comments I made in regard to having only one website. Ms. Thoman posted that I was the author of websites generated by her. Please note the long list of Internet blog rolls set up by Thoman to harass the Howell family.

Ms. Taryn Thoman later admitted in late June that the effort to make a complaint against Howell’s license was to appease her sister, Therese Marinelli of Columbus, Ohio. Ms. Thoman stated that Marinelli had a “good job” and that Christine Howell had made trouble for her sister by complaining about Marinelli’s harassing comments and scurrilous blogging from Ohio State Computer Systems. Once again, note the email address on the correspondence provided to Thoman from Marinelli. Thoman stated she wanted retribution, as Terese had an important job at Ohio State in the Endocrinology Department and worked for a many important and prominent physicians. She stated that Terese was embarrassed and humiliated after being disciplined by the Human Resource Department at Ohio State.

9) Please note the return notice from the Board of Registration in Nursing. Ms. Thoman was angry that Howell’s license was neither censured nor removed. Thoman faulted me for being unable to write a sufficient complaint against Howell.
10) Thoman once admitted that her sister Terese Marinelli often allows her to “ransack” the supply closet at the Endocrinology Thoman Department at Ohio State for “really good stuff”.

11) Ms. Thoman mentioned on many occasions that Christine Howell’s motivation for aberrant behavior was jealousy toward Thoman. Ms. Thoman stated that Christine was obsessed with Dennis Wilcox, and that he was attractive, muscular, and that he rebuffed the advance Christine Howell made toward him. Thoman claimed that Christine Howell constantly exposed herself to her husband, Dennis Wilcox.

Thoman claimed that the Howell children were often found sitting naked in the road, or simply diapered, sitting behind the wheel of her vehicle, a Honda SUV, and that Thoman had nearly backed over one of Howell’s small children. She also claimed that Howell’s children were often fed by Thoman’s babysitters and that many saw the children neglected, unkempt and unclean. I witnessed Christine Howell with her child in early September. Her little boy was clean, well dressed and appeared afraid of Thoman as Howell spoke with Charles Lewis, the Animal Control officer.

12) Taryn Thoman and I had a major disagreement at an informal meeting at the Burger King on North Street after Dennis Wilcox was charged with assault and battery. I disagreed with Thoman’s decision to place the footage of the altercation she obtained from her installed video cameras on a local blog site set to music. I suggested that she supply it to the police department and to public officials. When she insisted on placing the video footage to music on www.capecog.com for entertainment purposes, I suggested that this would likely result in her being charged for Criminal Harassment. I advised her that I could no longer help her with the recall and returned a good number of materials to her at that time. These materials included the summons Dennis Wilcox was served after the altercation with his neighbors, medical reports, and the photograph she took of her husband after the altercation. Thoman replied that I had to respect her decision to “do what was best for her family”.

On the evening of July 17, 2008, Ms. Taryn Thoman spoke before the Barnstable Town Council in regard to the recall effort. Thoman lied to the council claiming to have all of the necessary signatures to meet the requirements of the recall affidavit. I had only obtained approximately 37 and we needed 50. Thoman came to my house after the meeting and her conversation with the Barnstable Patriot, and suggested she needed a drink. She stated she had no money so I offered to take her to one of the local Hyannis restaurants for dinner. She preferred to pick up alcohol (six beers of Heineken, a small bottle of hard liquor and a pack of cigarettes and drank in the parking lot of Fortes Beach.) I had a small glass of wine. Jeannette Chilli telephoned and suggested she bring Aidan home as Thoman was intoxicated. I spoke with Mrs. Chilli and told her I had only one and one-half glasses of wine at 6:30PM and that it was ten o’clock and I would drive Taryn home safely. Taryn asked me at that point if I did drugs, had any prescription narcotics or did I know where to get them. I explained to Ms. Thoman that I have never used narcotics that the local narcotics dealers won’t sell me anything because I have had dealings with the DEA. I also suggested that she call it a night, because we still had signatures to collect, and COG was counting on us to have the affidavit ready for presentation by Friday at 4PM. I drove Taryn home and then drove her car to my house for the night. I returned to Mountain Ash Road by 8:30 PM so Aidan Wilcox could be transported to camp. Ms. Thoman was still ill from intoxication from the previous evening.

Lastly, during the final effort to secure enough signatures for the recall affidavit, Thoman threatened my family with litigation if I did not assist her with the collection of the signatures. She suggested that she would accuse me of molesting Aidan and that she could sue my family for their assets. She suggested that I would be locked away in a hospital without there being any legal recourse or due process for me and that she would litigate for assets. Thoman stated that this would be easy to do, and that she waited until we were in the car to tell me what her plans were so that we would not be recorded. She stated she would instruct Aidan to lie and that this would be something they had to do to provide for his future. When I suggested I would have a lawyer and a hearing, she asked me why I would be so selfish. Shouldn’t I simply want what is best for Aidan? She threatened to throw a Molotov cocktail threw my living room window. She knew I had many of documents and items in regard to Aidan Wilcox, the Howell family and the recall in my possession.

13)When I asked her if she fabricated the story about Aidan being molested she smiled and replied
“I’ll guess we’ll never know”.

14 On Friday, August30, 2008, I severed all contact with Thoman and ceased any association with the
effort to recall President Janet Swain Joakim.

Meet J. Drew Segadelli, World's Worst Defense Attorney. Hasn't the first clue as to what "conflict of interest means". What do you want, I only paid him a lousy $500 bucks. I ended up having to defend myself. Clueless, and now representing a dolt like Taryn Thoman.

Dear Mr. Segadelli,
Please note the blog notations enclosed in reference to Taryn A. Thoman. Apparently, Thoman’s adversaries are beginning to insult your client in retaliation for her ongoing pattern of intimidating behavior. Your client continues to blame me for her offensive actions. I am not a willing participant. A number of Internet transmissions are being traced to the Centerville Library. Ms. Thoman often brought me to this library while she harassed her neighbor, Christine Howell , and President Janet Joakim. I subscribe to a service that notifies me when my name is mentioned over the Internet and I have subsequently spoken to the detective investigating this case. I am saving all materials that involve the use of my name, my family’s name, and any reference to the activities of your client.
Ms. Thoman continues to mention the brief discussion I had with you outside the courthouse on her website, www.barnstable411.com. She was present when I warned you that you may have a conflict of interest in this matter and continues to remark about your representation of me in a separate, but related matter. You should be aware that there is an ongoing investigation into the actions of Michael O’Keefe in regard to the Worthington homicide, the prosecution of Christopher McCowan and allegations of prosecutorial misconduct and judicial impropriety. I am enclosing an email communication between myself and Ms. Thoman in regard to Janet Swain Joakim. Ms. Thoman suggested that “we” hire a “couple of thugs” to break into the home of then President Janet Swain Joakim at 206 Donegal Circle, steal her computer, and establish the identity of the author and publisher of www.barnstablebeat.blogspot.com. I recall explaining to you that Ms. Thoman spoke incessantly about engaging in illegal activity over a recorded telephone line. I maintain that representing Thoman may compromise your integrity and jeopardize your career.
Are you certain that you have not breached privilege and that you have no conflict of interest in this matter?
Sincerely,

Mary Clements

Woops, she's done it again!

Someone might want to let Tony Pelletier of the Hyannis Civic Association know that his name now appears on www.welcometobarnstable.com. Taryn Thoman claimed that she was invited to his house for fireworks and a barbeque on the infamous Fourth of July. Taryn was actually sitting around making disturbing graphics of President Janet Joakim as Mary worked at the Kennedy Galleries on Main Street. It was the day of the All-America City Parade and Greg Milne was campaigning for County Commissioner. Originally, Thoman blamed Seth Rolbein for her antics. Rolbein knew nothing of the obscene graphics. Rolbein kept contact with Mary over the summer in regard to the popular "Towel Boy" issue of The Cape Cod Voice.

Not only does Mary have time cards and photographs to prove her whereabouts as Thoman developed these disturbing graphics, she reported Thoman to Corey Daehlstadt of the Cybercrimes Unit of the Attorney General's Office.

Daelhstadt had access to emgc02601@homail.com and notified Chief Paul MacDonald and Barnstable Town Attorney Ruth Weil of the upsetting nature of Thoman's graphics.

Unfortunately, Taryn Thoman has a track record of crazy behavior and blaming other people for her antics.

What a "no-talent".

I Think Someone is on to Taryn!

Hi Officer Mark Delaney!

How are things going with the case against Thoman? I had heard she had a court date on Thursday, the 27th, but today is the 26th and I don't know if her pretrial hearing was today or tomorrow. I am working on a complaint against Drew Segadelli. My understanding is he breached information on the witness list to Thoman and I personally think he has a conflict of interest considering the status of a new witness and his former representation.

1) Thoman continues to harass via the Internet and her harassment includes me, and parties that may know of me.

2) Thoman is charged with a similar charge/same charge as the witness represented and is blaming the former defendant of her
current attorney.

What is your thinking on this and what do you think Ms. Connors would want to do? I'm sure she doesn't want to make things difficult for a colleague, but I should think that it would not be in the interest of the state's case to have a witness being harassed by the defendant particularly if the current defendant has knowlege of such matters and materials? Clearly the pure definition of a conflict.

I am following through with a complaint, but advise Ms. Connors that this is in the works and may affect the status of the case. These materials are scheduled to be forwarded to the Office of Bar Counsel tomorrow.

Thanks!

Mary

Emails over Thoman

(Click on the Image to Enlarge.) Taryn Thoman was simply on a dangerous vendetta to destroy any and all happy people in her path. Miserable and ugly. Clearly you can see that her neighbors, Ron and Christine Howell had reputations that long preceeded them for being devoted and capable parents. The actions of Taryn Thoman in regard to all neighboring families and their children is clearly beyond reproach.

Councilor, these item keeps appearing on local blog sites. It appears that you may be in criminal trouble if you are aware of these issues with Thoman and did not report them in such a way to protect the public.

JULIUS, Super work with the whole CORRUPTION stuff. Have you taken a look at www.barnstable411.com? It appears that Taryn Thoman of 22 Mountain Ash Road has walked you into legal trouble with her antics.

Thoman had no idea that Clements would protect herself by literally and really calling in the Cybercrimes Unit of the Attorney General's Office. Clements gave the Attorney General's Office full access to emgc02601@hotmail.com for the purposes of protecting herself from Thoman. That was the "score" way back when she floated obscene graphics of Joakim around and attempted to blame the wrong person.
As it turns out, the compromise to the children of Mountain Ash Road was actually caused by Taryn. Now, we have both Milne and Cippollini implicated because of the removal of the computer system from the Wilcox home last August. The Internet communications have been traced to Thoman.

In addition, Taryn Thoman was caught on a tapped telephone line threatening to break in to Janet Joakim's home to steal a computer. Trooper Corey Daelstadt of the Cybercrimes Unit intercepted email correspondence that compromises COG.

Supoenas all around!

It's Email City over Crazy Taryn Thoman!

Hey Christine, I keep posting this onto Gary Lopez site, and they won't accept the comment. Lopez has to be coddling Thoman because he's running scared. Feel free to forward this and post it wherever you please.

Thoman's house at 22 Mountain Ash is a nice property, but she is foreclosing. We understand she has received another lien and has yet to pay $25,000 in sales taxes. Thoman admitted that most of her efforts were to improve her chances at a political career. She admitted that Aidan was never molested, nevertheless, she accused the neighbors and one child of a neighbor of outrageous and unspeakable acts. Taryn has yet to understand that I have antagonized her to come after me on purpose. Litigation is the least of my concern. I come from a family full of lawyers. Taryn has no money.

I am placing www.welcometobarnstable.com and www.welcometocapecod.com on the Internet, presently. I am going to ask you to leave this posted. Many items in regard to Thoman and Wilcox will become public record over my Internet sites. If you can leave this notation posted, this will be the last comment I will forward to your website.

Much of your work is incredible and worthy of attention and acclaim. I hope you will continue to provide information and materials that will ultimately improve the quality of living in Barnstable. I am still reeling, and "smarting" if you will over the failure of the Joakim RECALL. This should have been a moral imperative for all citizens and constituents of Barnstable. You should be aware that I have vacated my apartment and have moved to a lovely home in a place that I longingly call civilization.

We are awaiting justice in the Barnstable District Court in regard to Thoman.
Good luck to you, sir.

Thanks for emailing me Christine!

Evidently, the local blogosphere has some great connections, and clearly I'm grateful to know you Christine. I'm sorry for the difficulty that has been created for you, and if I had known that Taryn was such a problem for you, I never would have helped her in any way.

I also appreciate the emails from website wizards that assisted me this summer. I had no idea that the likes of the cogosphere thought I was trying to draw attention to a blog. I thought it would be months before I got this up and running.

Basically, I am online making a complaint against my former attorney. Here, why don't you nosy bastards read my materials for yourselves!

Dear Mr. Segadelli,

Thank you for representing my interests in the matter of the charge of criminal harassment against me filed in the Barnstable District Court in regard to The Barnstable Police Department . You may be aware that I assisted Ms. Taryn Thoman during the effort to recall President Janet Swain Joakim from office. I also collected signatures for the Open Meeting of the Voters held in Hyannis last spring at her request. Ms. Thoman requested my assistance developing a legitimate lobby and political action committee last January. We were introduced through a mutual acquaintance, Lou Gonzaga of Hyannis. Mr. Gonzaga is currently serving as an official constable here in Barnstable and has long been involved in municipal politics.

When Taryn Thoman was charged with criminal harassment, I recommended that she consider retaining your counsel. Ms. Thoman is responsible for developing obscene graphics of President Janet Swain Joakim and forwarding them from her computer terminal to a number of websites. In addition, Ms. Thoman assisted me in the development of my website, www.barnstablesafetynetwork.com. Taryn Thoman knew my passwords and personal data and ran my website on her server and off her website, taryn@tarynsmirror.com. Thoman continues to blame me for harassing a number of parties and continually posts scurrilous comments about me on local blog sites. Please review her current blog postings on local political websites. Clearly you can see from Thoman’s comments that she intends to post controversial and threatening materials in regard to me on her newly constructed website, www.barnstable411.typepad.com .

Please be aware that Ms. Thoman has publicly blamed me for developing the disturbing graphics of President Janet Swain Joakim. Ms. Thoman is aware that I was photographing Councilor Greg Milne at the All-America City Parade under her direction and working at 4pm at the Kennedy Gallery on Main Street subsequent to the parade. My employer and co-workers were present and in my company throughout the day. Ms. Thoman stated that she was at a barbecue at the home of Mr. Tony Pelletier of the Hyannis Civic Association and has alleged that I am at fault for continued harassment of Janet Joakim and her neighbors on Mountain Ash Road.

Tony Pelletier denied that Taryn Thoman was invited to his home on the Fourth of July. It is on the fourth that these graphics were developed and emailed to my website. Ms. Thoman has a history of mailing related obscene graphics to members of Barnstable’s blogosphere. Ms. Thoman’s neighbors, Christine and Ron Howell confirm that Taryn Thoman and her sister Therese Marinelli were home all day on the fourth of July.

You defended me in a criminal harassment charge. Your current client, Taryn Thoman is a former associate of mine. Thoman is blaming me for her actions of criminal harassment. You should be aware that there is ongoing convolution of these matters with local and federal law enforcement. Please consider the blog postings placed on an Internet site by your client. Clearly, Ms. Thoman is suggesting that she has information in regard to my court case and is suggesting that she may post such items on a website. I have contacted the Massachusetts Bar Association and filed a complaint. I am unsure as to whether our conversations and matters were covered by attorney client privilege. It seems that Ms. Thoman is suggesting that you have not maintained an agreement of confidentiality and is threatening to post matters on her website.

Is there not a conflict of interest? I have forwarded these documents to Justice William O’Neill of the Barnstable District Court.

Sincerely,

Mary Clements

Dear Mr. Segadelli

Materials pertinent to the investigation of Taryn Thoman have been forwarded to local law enforcement and federal authorities. I have forwarded a number of documents to the families involved in the matter now before Barnstable District Court in regard to Ms. Thoman. Ms. Thoman was aware that I retained your counsel for the matter of criminal harassment and I suggested that she attempt to secure your counsel in this matter several months prior to the charge.

I worked with Ms. Taryn Thoman on matters pertaining to the recall of President Janet Swain Joakim. Ms. Thoman assisted me in the development of my website, www.barnstablesafetynetwork.com. Ms. Thoman also provided me with minimal assistance in the setting up of an email account. Taryn Thoman read my email, collapsed my website, and blamed me for developing obscene graphics of the sitting town council president. Ms. Thoman threatened me and my family physically, and suggested that she would accuse me of harming her child, Aidan Wilcox. Thoman stated that I would be placed permanently in a home for the mentally ill and she would be subsequently able to sue my family for their assets.

I have continued to forward matters pertaining to public safety to attorneys and others with interests in public safety in Hyannis and Barnstable. This includes Mr. Peter Manso and Mr. Christopher H. Worthington. I reminded Ms. Thoman during our six month working relationship intended to remove Joakim from office that matters pertaining to the ongoing compromise in public safety had precedence over the recall of Joakim. Ms. Thoman never understood the convolution of such matters with her actions and jeopardized not only my safety and well-being, but compromised an ongoing criminal investigation in regard to impropriety with multiple departments. I advised her that my telephone line may be tapped and that our conversations were not secure. Ms. Thoman threatened to hire convicted felons to break into the Joakim home on said non-secure telephone line and materials confirming this were forwarded to Joakim.

Although my case in Barnstable District Court has been long closed, materials pertinent to an ongoing investigation have been forwarded to federal authorities. I declined to speak with local law enforcement per an agreement with Judge Joseph Reardon. Because of the stipulation made my Judge Reardon, I have instead forwarded any and all materials including the offensive actions of Taryn Thoman to appropriate authorities. I was contacted in regard to this case by Detective Mark Delaney. Your client, Taryn Thoman harassed me over the Internet referring to me as “crazypants”. I have been identified as a material witness in an ongoing federal investigation. Ms. Thoman’s behavior and actions may have compromised me and henceforth obstructed justice in said ongoing investigation. As you know, you were a witness to the dismissal of an Assistant District Attorney before Judge Donald Carpenter. I continue to forward all materials to the Office of the Attorney General and associated federal agents.

Your decision to represent Ms. Taryn Thoman may constitute a conflict of interest.

Sincerely,

Mary Clements

Dear Mr. Still,

There are significant developments and complications in regard to the current recall effort designed to remove President Janet Joakim from office. You may be aware that a number of attorneys with interests in public safety are examining the convolution of human services with law enforcement. I have been advised that the information forwarded to multiple parties has proved to be credible. In addition, I have been asked to remain in Barnstable in regard to an ongoing matter.

Parties with interests are utilizing conventional means to record impropriety in Barnstable. This includes monitoring all communication including Internet and telephone. Unfortunately, recall initiator assistant Taryn Thoman has engaged in gross illegality that included suggestions of “breaking in” to President Joakim’s home and removing her computer system. Thoman was attempting to confirm the identity of the author of www.barnstablebeatblog.com. Ms. Thoman stated that this would be easy to do as she does not have the “surveillance cameras” that “she does”. She suggested that it would be easy to hire “a couple of thugs” to cheaply break in through a window of Joakim’s home at 206 Donegal Circle. As far as I know, this exchange was recorded. Ms. Thoman abruptly terminated this telephone conversation when I became extremely upset. I emailed her later that day and printed and maintain a copy of the correspondence. Thoman emailed me in return and I saved her written response. I am sure that you now understand the urgency by which I was trying to establish the identity of “TJ”. Taryn Thoman suggested that you confirmed that you graduated from Barnstable High School with TJ, and that he was your age. Thoman has contacted the school library and has asked to see the photographs of your graduating class. She states that you are forty-one years of age and graduated in 1985. She also suggested that I go in and research this matter. She stated that she would make arrangements.

I noted that Thoman was leaving my name to postings one day from a public computer terminal that she suggested that we use to protect anonymity. I discovered that she registered several sites to my name. She was harassing Janet Joakim and Christine Howell. She insisted on setting up my domain name for www.barnstablesafetynetwork.com and kept all of my passwords, private information, and credit card numbers handy. She insisted on obtaining my social security number and stated that she would be also confirm it to set up my website. Much of the start of my website was done from the Centerville Library.

Ms. Thoman set up my email accounts and retained the passwords. She insisted on asking me each time I changed my password to let me work on my site. She was reading my email and posting onto the site.
On Sunday night, I noted that the passwords kept changing on my email site. My sister logged onto my blog and discovered that the blog had moved to a “registered viewer only” site. She changed the information on my email account so that I cannot access my email. She had previously floated disturbing and obscene graphics onto my site and stated that I should post them. She claimed Seth Rolbein of the Cape Cod Voice emailed them to her site and that they were being floated around as a joke. Thoman suggested that Rolbein stole her satire ideas for the O’Keefe graphic after the outstanding job she had done on the Osama Bin Laden graphic. I contacted the Cybercrimes Unit of the Attorney General’s Office and reported the offensive graphics to Trooper Corey Daelhstadt. I also forwarded them to Chief Paul MacDonald and gave him the contact number for Ruth Weil’s Office.

Arlene Crosby reviewed them with me and expressed how disturbing they were to her. My younger sister viewed them and stated that Thoman must be sick. She transferred them onto my family’s desktop and they have been forwarded to my attorney. President Janet Joakim was warned that disturbing graphics were being floated around the Internet. Thoman suggested that I use this to gain support for Joakim’s inability to negotiate and reneging on her promise to meet with me to discuss topics maturely. Much of the scurrilous libel of me was precipitated by Joakim.

Ms. Taryn Thoman had me collect the majority of the signatures for both “Open Meeting” and the recall effort. At times, she was extremely aggressive and did shove the clipboard in the face of an elderly lady and left and went to the car. Her daughter had “power of attorney” and happened to call as we were at the door. The lady forgot about the clipboard and finally signed stating she was blind. I suggested to Thoman that we remove this signature. She refused.

Ms. Thoman was shaking and intimidated by you at one point as you had accused her of harassing Joakim. I assumed as much fault and blame as possible as Thoman kept claiming that her child was harmed by these events. I recall writing to you and claiming responsibility for Thoman’s actions.
I told Trooper Daehlstadt of the Attorney General’ Office that I would not turn on Thoman as she is obviously a distressed mother. I reviewed the comments posted on www.sevenvillagesblog.com last February and saved President Joakim’s site on removable hardware before she was told to sanitize it. I saved and printed my own website and have made multiple copies of the site.

Taryn Thoman completely collapsed my website on Monday morning without my permission or knowledge. I have contacted Cybercrimes Unit of the Attorney General’s Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Thank you for your time and attention.

Sincerely,

Mary Clements

Gee, Christine, I sure do know how to fire these people up! Looks like there was a complete blogwar on cclbs yesterday and Lopez knows enough to shut down comments. Evidently Lopez and Thoman have had a falling out. The comments posted by Thoman should be sufficient to prove that there is a conflict of interest in regard to her attorney representing her in the matter you have before the courts. You can thank your new ally, Elizabeth Allen, for this. Materials are now on the way to the judge. I don't mean to delay the trial, but Segadelli cannot represent her if he already represented the defendant that she is accusing.

This will really put a dent in her day, and Segadelli gets paid to know better.

This one must have gotten past them because I can hardly follow this stuff myself. Elizabeth has to be somebody who knows you or has a child in school with you because I don't have the first clue what it's about. All I know is that there are a ton of deleted comments, and I thought it was you guys. All I know is that my name appeared on their website and someone gave me a quick call. What a bunch of idiots!
